Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 4,472 head selling on Nov. 17, compared to 3,418 head a week ago and 4,786 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steer calves 500 to 650 pounds were selling steady to $5 lower and heifer calves were selling steady to $3 lower. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd. The calf and feeder supply included 56% steers and 44% heifers, with near 43% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
