High Plains direct slaughter cattle sales report
High Plains weekly weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Nov. 18, totaled 87,409 head selling, compared to 92,549 head a week ago and 94,070 head last year, according to the USDA Livestock, Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 19,446 head, 1,325 to 1,600 lbs., 109.00 to 114.50 (112.26); 65 to 80% Choice, 13,110 head, 1,270 to 1,600 lbs., 111.00 to 114.00 (113.96); 35 to 65% Choice, 1,637 head, 1,285 to 1,450 lbs., 114.00. Dressed delivered basis, over 80% Choice, 12,406 head, 819 to 1,038 lbs., 174.00 to 181.00 (177.36); 65 to 80% Choice, 1,274 head, 806 to 950 lbs., 176.00 to 178.00 (177.63); 35 to 65% Choice, 75 head, 895 to 895 lbs., 176.00.
