Ozarks Regional livestock auction report
The Ozarks Regional Stockyards, West Plains, Missouri, reported receipts of 1,693 head selling on Nov. 20, compared to 2,227 head a week ago and 1,844 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Compared to a week ago, steer calves under 550 pounds were trading $4 to $8 higher with heavier weights selling steady to $4 lower. Heifer calves were trading $2 to $5 higher. Demand was good on a light supply. The feeder cattle supply included 46% steers, 0% dairy steers, 44% heifers and 9% bulls. The feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 34%.
