Georgia weekly cattle auction results

The Georgia weekly cattle livestock auction summary indicated receipts of 7,797 head of cattle selling the week of June 20, compared to 7,082 the previous week, according to the USDA-Georgia Department of Agriculture Market News, Thomasville, Georgia.

When compared to the previous week, the slaughter cows were unevenly steady and the slaughter bulls were mostly steady. The feeders weighing over 600 pounds were steady to $2 lower and those under 600 pounds were steady to $3 lower. The replacement cows were steady to $3 higher. The supply included 75% feeder cattle with 17% steers, 42% were heifers and 41% were bulls; 16% was slaughter cattle with 89% cows and 11% were bulls; and 9% was replacement cattle with 53% bred cows and 47% were cow-calf pairs. The feeder cattle supply weighing over 600 pounds was 13%.
