Grain market close
The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Oct. 20, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $6.32; December corn, $4.08 3/4; and November soybeans, $10.64.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $6.92 to $7.12, up 5 to 6 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.28 3/4 to $4.93 1/4, up 2 3/4 to 5 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $6.08 3/4, up 3 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $11.48 to $11.53, up 9 3/4 to 12 3/4 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.29 1/2.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $5.41 to $5.71.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $5.41 to $5.71.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.07 to $5.31.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.21 to $5.46.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.21 to $5.41.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.07 to $5.26.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $4.43 3/4 to $4.53 3/4 per bushel.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $4.01 3/4 to $4.28 3/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $4.08 3/4 to $4.28 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $4.38 3/4 to $4.43 3/4.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $3.95 3/4 to $4.03 3/4 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $4.93 3/4 to $5.08 3/4 per cwt.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $9.74 to $9.99 per bushel.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $20 to $22.50 per cwt.
Sunflowers were $17.50 cwt.
In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $4.43 3/4 to $4.53 3/4 per bushel. Barley was unavailable.
In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $23 to $24 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $22 to $23. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $24 to $25. Great Northerns were steady at $30 to $32 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $26. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $40 to $43.
