The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Oct. 27, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $6.15 3/4; December corn, $4.16; and November soybeans, $10.82 1/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $6.75 3/4 to $6.90 3/4, up 1/2 to down 4 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $4.91 to $4.93, down 3/4 to up 8 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $6.16, down 1 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $11.30 3/4 to $11.75 1/4, down 2 1/2 to 7 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.04 1/4 to $5.11 1/4.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $5.19 1/4 to $5.49 1/4.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $5.19 1/4 to $5.49 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $4.85 1/4 to $5.09 1/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $4.99 1/4 to $5.24 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $4.99 1/4 to $5.19 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $4.82 1/4 to $5.04 1/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $4.61 per bushel.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $4.09 to $4.36.

In east central Colorado, corn was $4.16 to $4.46.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $4.49 to $4.51.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $4.03 to $4.11 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.01 to $5.16 per cwt.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $9.92 1/4 to $10.17 1/4 per bushel.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $20 to $22.50 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $17.50 cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $4.461 per bushel. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $23 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $22 to $23. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $24 to $25. Great Northerns were steady at $30 to $32 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $26 to $27. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $40 to $43.
