Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Jan. 19, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.71 1/4; March corn, $5.26; and January soybeans, $13.85 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.13 1/4 to $7.2 3/4, up 3 1/2 to down 3 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $5.94 to $6.04, down 5 1/2 to 9 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.26 to $7.46, down 5 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.63 3/4 to $14.65 3/4, down 30 to 31 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.02 to $6.09.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.24 to $6.49.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.24 to $6.49.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.80 to $5.99.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.99 to $6.24.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.94 to $6.14.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.89 to $5.94.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.66 to $5.71.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.15 to $5.46.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.51 to $5.61.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.61 to $5.66.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.08 to $5.15 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.46 to $6.61.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.95 3/4 to $13.20 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $20 to $25 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.66 to $5.71. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $28 to $30. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $25 to $29. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $28. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
