Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Jan. 26, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.65 1/4; March corn, $5.32 1/4; and January soybeans, $13.70 1/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.02 1/2 to $7.75 1/4, up 11 3/4 to 16 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $5.98 1/2 to $6.07 1/4, up 14 3/4 to 20 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.32 1/4 to $7.52 1/4, up 20 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.40 1/4, up 18 3/4 to 26 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.99 to $6.06.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.07 to $6.32.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.07 1/4 to $6.32 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.63 1/4 to $5.82 1/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.82 1/4 to $6.12 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.77 1/4 to $6.02 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.91 to $5.96.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.56 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5 1/2 to $5.31 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.36 1/2 to $5.46 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.46 1/2 to $5.51 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.14 1/4 to $5.21 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.12.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.80 1/4 to $13.05 1/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $20 to $26 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.57. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $29 to $30. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $29. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $28. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
