Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Feb. 2, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.44 3/4; March corn, $5.43; and March soybeans, $13.54 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $6.85 to $7.54 3/4, down 3 3/4 to 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.06 1/4 to $6.18 1/4, down 1/2 to 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.43 to $7.63, down 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.26 3/4 to $14.34 3/4, down 8 1/2 to 10 1/2 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.77 to $6.84.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $5.99 to $6.24.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $5.99 to $6.24.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.55 to $5.74.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.74 to $6.04.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.69 to $5.94.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.74.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.88.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.32 to $5.63.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.63 to $5.78.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.78 to $5.83.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.25 to $5.32 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.63 to $6.78.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.64 3/4 to $12.89 3/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $21 to $26.50 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19.25 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.88. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $29 to $30. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $30. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $29. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
