The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Feb. 9, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.49 1/2; March corn, $5.56 1/2; and March soybeans, $14.01 3/4.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $6.96 to $7.59 1/2, down 2 to 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.15 1/2 to $6.33 1/4, down 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.56 1/4 to $7.76 1/4, down 7 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.72 3/4 to $14.81 3/4, up 14 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.91 1/2 to $5.98 1/2.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.14 to $6.39.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.13 1/2 to $6.38 1/2.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.69 1/2 to $5.88 1/2.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.88 1/2 to $6.23 1/2.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.83 1/2 to $6.08 1/2.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.88 1/2.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.01 1/4 to $6.06 1/4.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.45 1/4 to $5.76 1/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $5.81 1/4 to $5.91 1/4.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.96 1/4.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.38 1/4 to $5.45 1/4 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.76 1/4 to $6.91 1/4.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $13.11 3/4 to $13.36 3/4.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $21 to $26 per cwt.
Sunflowers were $19.25 per cwt.
In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.01 to $6.06. Barley was unavailable.
In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $29 to $32. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $30. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $29. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
