The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Feb. 23, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.65 3/4; March corn, $5.53 3/4; and March soybeans, $14.06.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.26 3/4 to $7.80 1/4, up 1 3/4 to down 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.16 1/2 to $6.28 3/4, up 1 to down 3 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.53 3/4 to $7.73 3/4, up 2 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.82 to $14.86, up 22 1/4 to 25 1/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.99 to $6.09.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.21 to $6.56.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.21 to $6.56.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.77 to $5.96.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.96 to $6.31.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.91 to $6.16.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.76 to $5.96.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.98 3/4 to $6.18 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.42 3/4 to $5.73 3/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.78 3/4 to $5.88 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.93 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.35 3/4 to $5.42 3/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.73 3/4 to $6.88 3/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $13.16 to $13.41.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $21 to $28 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19.25 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.99 to $6.19. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $30 to $32. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
