Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for March 2, reported in futures trading that Chicago March soft red winter wheat was $6.63 1/4; March corn, $5.60 1/4; and March soybeans, $14.14.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.25 to $7.76 1/4, up 12 1/2 to down 19 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.04 3/4 to $6.35 3/4, up 5 3/4 to 13 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.85 to $8.15 3/4, up 6 3/4 cents to 13 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.88 to $14.94, up 22 1/2 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6 to $6.05.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.07 to $6.35.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.07 to $6.35.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.57 to $5.82.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.85 to $6.17.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.90 to $6.02.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.65 1/4 to $5.90 1/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.05 3/4 to $6.25 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.49 3/4 to $5.85 3/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.75 to $5.95 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $6 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.30 to $5.34 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6.80 3/4 to $6.95 3/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $13.22 1/2 to $13.47 1/2.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $26.50 to $28 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $19.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.06 to $6.35. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $26 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $30 to $32. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $43.
