Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for April 13, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $6.29 3/4; May corn, $5.80; and May soybeans, $13.89 1/2.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $6.98 1/2 to $7.29 3/4, up 1 3/4 to 6 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.32 1/2 to $6.49 1/2, up 8 1/2 to 11 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.30 to $7.51 1/2, up 11 to 10 1/2 cent; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.25 1/4 to $14.62 3/4, up 1 3/4 to 10 1/2 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $5.50 to $5.57.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $5.65 to $6.50.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $5.64 3/4 to $6 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.14 3/4 to $5.39 3/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.39 3/4 to $5.74 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $5.59 3/4 to $5.64 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.14 3/4 to $5.39 3/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.25 to $6.50.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.85 1/2 to $6.05.

In east central Colorado, corn was $6.05 to $6.15.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $6.20 to $6.25.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.65 to $5.68 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $6 to $6.30.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.99 1/2 to $13.24 1/2.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $28.50 to $33 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $22.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.99 to $6.29. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $30 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $30. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $27 to $32. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $32. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $41 to $46.
