Joplin feeder cattle sale results
Joplin Regional Stockyards, Carthage, Missouri, reported receipts of 4,961 head selling a week ago, 6,257 head trading April 12 and 5,097 head selling a year ago, according to USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers were selling steady to $5 lower; while feeder heifers were trading steady to $4 lower. Supply and demand were moderate. Supply included: 100% feeder cattle (53% steers, 43% heifers, 4% bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 41%.
