The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for June 1, reported in futures trading that Chicago July soft red winter wheat was $6.93 1/2; July corn, $6.88 3/4; and July soybeans, $15.48 1/2.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.48 1/2 to $7.93 1/4, up 19 to 20 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.57 to $7.75 3/4, up 24 to 32 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.12 to $8.37 3/4, up 32 1/2 to 32 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.77 to $16.28 1/2, up 18 to 24 1/4 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.03 to $6.13.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.18 to $6.68.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.17 1/2 to $6.67 1/2.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $5.62 1/2 to $5.92 1/2.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $5.97 1/2 to $6.27 1/2.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.12 1/2 to $6.37 1/2.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $5.62 1/2 to $5.92 1/2.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.53 3/4 to $7.68 3/4.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.08 3/4 to $7.38 3/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $7.13 3/4 to $7.23 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.28 3/4 to $7.53 3/4.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.98 3/4 to $7.10 3/4 per bushel.
