Cash bids mixed
Compared to last week, cash bids for were mixed for corn, soybeans, wheat and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, July 13.
For the week ending July 8, a decrease of 242,269 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 7,203 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed an increase of 62,516 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 68,945 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending July 2, had a slight increase at 1,067,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was down 3 1/2 cents. Corn was up 6 cents. Sorghum was up 6 cents. Soybeans were up 24 1/2 to 30 1/2 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City July wheat was $6.12 1/2.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $6.31 3/4 to $6.48 3/4, down 3 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $6.68 3/4 to $6.91 3/4, down 3 1/2 cents; Portland, $6.87 1/2 to $7.16 3/4, down 3 1/2 cents; St. Louis, $6.08 3/4 to $6.33 3/4, down 7 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $6.26 1/4 to $6.41 1/4, up 6 cents; Minneapolis, $6.31 1/4 to $6.36 1/4, up 6 cents; southern Iowa, $6.31 1/4 to $6.47 1/4, up 6 cents; Omaha, $6.10 1/4 to $6.23 1/4, up 6 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $14.64 3/4 to $14.79 3/4, up 10 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $13.99 3/4 to $14 3/4, up 10 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $14.26 3/4 to $14.42 3/4, up 10 1/2 to 9 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $14.39 3/4 to $14.74 3/4, up 24 1/2 to 30 1/2 cents.
