The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Aug. 31, reported in futures trading that Chicago September soft red winter wheat was $7.06 3/4; September corn, $5.34; and September soybeans, $12.98 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.16 3/4 to $7.33 3/4, down 2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.24 to $6.49, down 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $6.84 1/4 to $7.19, down 8 1/2 to 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $14.07 1/2 to $14.10 1/2, down 10 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.70 to $6.74.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.90 to $7.32.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.90 1/4 to $7.32.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.42 to $6.70 1/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.65 1/4 to $6.75 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.72 to 7.10 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.42 to $7.62.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.97 1/4 to 6.84 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.89 to $6.49.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.24 1/4 to $6.04.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.44 1/4 to $6.04.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $6.44 1/4 to $5.99 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.19 1/4 to $5.59 1/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.18 3/4 to $12.32 1/2.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15 to $16 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $30 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.79 to $6.84. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $38-$45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $43 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $44 to $45. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $37 to $41. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $48.
