Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Sept. 7, reported in futures trading that Chicago September soft red winter wheat was $7.08 3/4; September corn, $4.95 3/4; and September soybeans, $12.68 3/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.26 3/4 to $7.33 3/4, down 5 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $5.87 3/4 to $5.81 3/4, down 13 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $6.60 3/4 to $6.80 3/4, down 13 1/4 to 12 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $13.35 to $13.87, down 15 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.76 to $6.78.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.98 to $7.38.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.97 1/2 to $7.37 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.47 1/2 to $6.72 1/2.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.67 1/2 to $6.82 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.77 1/2 to 7.22 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.47 1/2 to $7.67 1/2.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.55 3/4 to 6.60 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.60 3/4 to $5.70 3/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5 3/4 to $5.20 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.20 3/4 to $5.60 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.70 3/4 to $5.75 3/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $4.95 3/4 to $5.25 3/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.07 to $12.17.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15 to $16.50 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $30 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.56 to $6.61. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44-$45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $47. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $41 to $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were unavailable; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $48.
