Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Sept. 28, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $7.06 1/2; December corn, $5.32 1/2; and November soybeans, $12.77.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.51 1/2 to $7.56 1/2, down 15 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.14 1/2 to $6.16 1/2, down 5 to 3 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $13.48 to $13.54, down 10 1/2 to 6 1/2 cents .

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.49.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $6.60 to $7.25.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $6.85 to $7.25.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.35 to $6.60.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.40 1/2 to $6.55 to $6.70.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.65 to $7.05.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.35 to $7.55.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $6.12 1/2 to $6.77 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.27 1/2 to $5.52 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.22 1/2 to $5.32 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.57 1/2 to $5.67 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.42 1/2 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.17 1/2 to $5.42 1/2.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $12.71 to $12.37.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $18 to $19 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $30.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.13 to $6.78. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $48 to $50. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $48 to $49. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $44 to $49.
