The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Oct. 12, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $7.34; December corn, $5.22 1/2; and November soybeans, $11.98 1/4.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.07 1/4 to $8.26 1/4, up 1 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $5.90 1/2 to $5.94 1/2, down 10 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $12.75 1/4 to $12.76 1/4, down 3 cents .
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $6.95 to $7.04.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.20 to $7.60.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $7.19 3/4 to $7.59 3/4.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.69 3/4 to $6.94 3/4.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.74 3/4 to $7.04 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $6.99 3/4 to $7.39 3/4.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.69 3/4 to $6.89 3/4.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.62 1/2 to $6.82 1/2.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.17 1/2 to $5.42 1/2.
In east central Colorado, corn was $5.12 1/2 to $5.32 1/2.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.47 1/2 to $5.57 1/2.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.12 1/2 to $5.17 1/2 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.07 1/2 to $5.32 1/2.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $11.18 1/4 to $11.48 1/4.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $18 to $19 per cwt.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $48 to $50. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $48 to $49. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $44 to $49.
