The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Oct. 19, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $7.36; December corn, $5.30 1/4; and November soybeans, $12.38.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.08 1/2 to $8.22 1/2, down 1/4 to up 7 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.02 1/4 to $6.06 1/4, down 1 1/2 to up 1/2 cent; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $13.05, change unavailable.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $7.03 to $7.12.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.28 to $7.68.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $6.78 1/4 to $7.03 1/4.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $6.83 1/4 to $7.13 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $6.78 1/4 to $6.98 1/4.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.75 1/4 to $5.90 1/4.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.25 1/4 to $5.50 1/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $4.80 1/4 to $5.40 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.25 1/4 to $5.35 1/4 per bushel.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45 to $50. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $49. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $44 to $49.
