Grain market close

The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for Nov. 9, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $7.78 1/2; December corn, $5.54 3/4; and November soybeans, $11.99 1/2.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $8.63 1/2 to $8.78 1/2, up 10 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $6.06 3/4 to $6.17 3/4, down 6 3/4 to 2 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $12.64 1/2 to $12.77, up 22 1/2 to 23 1/2.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $7.49 to $7.64.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $7.61 to $8.01.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $7.60 3/4 to $8.00 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $7.10 3/4 to $7.30 3/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $7.30 3/4 to $7.45 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $7.40 3/4 to $7.46 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $7.23 1/2 to $7.43 1/2.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $5.96 1/2 to $6.11 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $5.51 1/2 to $5.81 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $5.41 1/2 to $5.76 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $5.76 1/2 to $6.01 1/2.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $5.59 3/4 to $5.61 3/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $5.36 1/2 to $5.61 1/2.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $11.37 to $11.52.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $17 to $22 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $31.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $5.97 to $6.12. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $45 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45 to $47. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $48. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $44 to $45.
