Cash bids mostly higher

Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly higher for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans according to USDA reported prices, Dec. 21.

For the week ending Dec. 16, an increase of 84,428 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 67,543 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 56,960 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 195,659 metric tons.

Ethanol production for the week ending Dec. 10, had a slight decrease at 1,087,000 barrels a day.

Wheat was up 28 1/4 cents to unchanged. Corn was up 7 1/4 cents. Sorghum was up 7 1/4 cents. Soybeans were up 15 3/4 cents.

In the futures close, Kansas City March 2022 wheat was $7.99.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $6.13 1/4 to $6.26 1/4, up 7 1/4 to 10 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $5.58 1/4 to $5.96 1/4, up 7 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $5.70 1/4 to $5.87 1/4, up 7 1/4 to 8 1/4 cents; Omaha, $5.66 1/4 to $5.88 1/4, up 7 1/4 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $13.08 to $13.28, up 15 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $12.68 to $12.88, up 15 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $12.83 to $12.89, up 15 3/4 to 20 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $13.18 to $13.33, up 15 3/4 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Dec. 21, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $11.31 1/2 to $11.41 1/2, up 38 1/4 cents; 12% protein, $12.11 1/2 to $12.21 1/2, up 63 1/4 cents; 13% protein, $12.31 1/2 to $12.41 1/2, up 83 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $12.31 1/2 to $12.41 1/2, up 83 1/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
