The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for April 5, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $10.45 1/4; May corn, $7.59 3/4; and May soybeans, $16.31.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $11.20 1/4 to $11.65 1/4, up 35 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.59 3/4 to $8.65 3/4, up 9 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $17.61 to $17.64, up 28 3/4 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $9.99 1/4 to $10.09 1/4.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $10.04 to $10.83.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $10.04 1/4 to $10.82 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $9.69 1/4 to $9.92.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $10.04 1/4 to $10.29 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $10.02 to $10.71 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $9.74 1/4 to $9.99 1/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.83 1/4 to $7.88 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.86 1/2 to $7.72 1/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.43 1/4 to $7.73 1/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.49 3/4 to $8.14 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $7.33 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.43 1/4 to $7.54 3/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $15.09 to $15.46.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $16 to $17 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $38.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $7.83 to $7.88. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $42 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $43. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
