The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for April 12, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $11.03 3/4; May corn, $7.76 1/4; and May soybeans, $16.70 1/4.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $11.78 3/4 to $12.23 3/4, up 22 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.76 1/4 to $8.91 1/4, up 11 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $17.98 1/4 to $18.05 1/4, up 15 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $10.91 3/4.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $10.92 to $11.62.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $10.91 3/4 to $11.62 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $10.51 3/4 to $10.74 3/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $10.91 3/4 to $11.11 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $10.77 1/4 to $11.22 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $10.56 3/4 to $10.81 3/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $8.12 1/2 to $8.22 1/2.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.57 1/2 to $7.96 1/2.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.82 1/2 to $7.97 1/2.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.91 1/4 to $8.36 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $7.57 1/2 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.11 1/4 to $7.71 1/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $15.55 1/2 to $15.75 1/2.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15.50 to $17 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $38.50 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $8.13 to $8.23. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45 to $47. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45. Great Northerns were steady at $30 to $33 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $43. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
