The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for May 3, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $10.33 3/4; May corn, $8 3/4; and May soybeans, $16.59.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $10.93 3/4 to $10.95 1/2, down 11 3/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.86 3/4 to $8.88 3/4, down 9 1/4 to 6 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $18.50 1/2 to $17.57, down 24 1/2 to 27 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $10.17 3/4 to $10.22 3/4.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $10.23 to $11.15.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $10.22 3/4 to $11.14 3/4.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $9.78 3/4 to $10.26 3/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $10.27 3/4 to $10.37 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $10.77 3/4 to $10.52 3/4.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $10.07 3/4.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $8.53 to $8.68.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.78 to $7.98.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.93 to $8.18.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $8.48 to $8.73.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $7.78 to $7.83 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.38 to $7.88.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $15.22 1/2 to $15.45 1/2.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15.50 to $17 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $40 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $8.53 to $8.68. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45 to $48. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45-$46. Great Northerns were steady at $35 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $44. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50 to $53.
