The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for May 10, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $10.83 1/4; May corn, $7.861/2; and May soybeans, $16.30.

The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $11.42 3/4 to $11.43 1/4, unchanged; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.72 1/2 to $8.74 1/2, up 2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $17.12 1/4 to $17.28, up 7 to 9 cents.

Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $11 to $11.05.

In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $11.05 to $11.75.

No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $11.05 to $11.75.

In northeast Colorado, wheat was $10.65 1/4 to $11.08 3/4.

In east central Colorado, wheat was $11.10 to $11.20.

In southeast Colorado, wheat was $10.90 to $11.35.

In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $10.90.

No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $8.40 1/4 to $8.50 1/4.

In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.70 1/4 to $8.04 1/4.

In east central Colorado, corn was $7.75 3/4 to $8 3/4.

In southeast Colorado, corn was $8.30 1/4 to $8.75 1/4.

In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $7.65 1/4 per bushel.

No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.20 1/4 to $7.70 1/4.

No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were $14.87 1/4 to $15.07 1/4.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $15.50 to $17 per cwt.

Sunflowers were $40 per cwt.

In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $8.40 to $8.50. Barley was unavailable.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $45 to $48. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45-$46. Great Northerns were steady at $35 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $44. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50 to $53.
