The National Western Stock Show is excited to announce that their employment office is now open and actively seeking to fill more than 400 seasonal positions for the highly anticipated 2024 National Western Stock Show. This annual event, renowned for its rich western traditions and vibrant work environment, offers an incredible opportunity for individuals to be part of a dynamic team during the best 16 days in January.
The NWSS HR team is eager to welcome diverse talent from all backgrounds engaging with the local community to be a part of this celebrated event. Mikayla Morrison, director of human relations and hiring, expressed the organization’s commitment to inclusivity, stating, “We hire folks from all walks of life, and our team especially enjoys connecting with our local community members to involve them in our iconic event. Previous experience working events like ours is not necessary, we are looking for people with a solid work ethic and a positive attitude.”
Seasonal positions are available in various departments, including event operations, parking, guest relations, and the ticket office. Regardless of weather conditions, most of these positions will require outdoor work, and shifts may vary in duration, ranging from 4 to 12 hours per day throughout the stock show.
Compensation for these seasonal positions starts at $18.30 per hour, providing a competitive rate for the hard work and dedication of the stock show team members. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and authorized to work in the United States. It’s important to note that all job offers are contingent on the successful completion of a criminal background check.
