Brennan earns reserve national champion

The Oklahoma Panhandle State University rodeo team delivered outstanding performances at the 2024 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming, with the women’s team finishing tied for eighth in the nation and with McKenna Brennan named reserve national champion goat tyer.

In breakaway roping, Brennan finished 29th in the nation, clocking 3.3 seconds in the first round, 3.6 seconds in the second round and receiving no time in the third round. Through three rounds in goat tying, Brennan finished with times of 6.5 seconds 6.4 seconds and 6.7 seconds. Brennan ran a 6.7-second run in the short round, which put her second in the aggerate and secured her the title of reserve national champion.

Other placers from OPSU included Parker McIntyre, 11th in goat tying; and Camree Slavin, 49th in breakaway roping.
