Using herbs and other natural remedies to keep your flock healthy

Herbs and other natural remedies can be an effective and safe way to prevent and treat common chicken ailments. Some useful herbs to keep on hand for chicken health include:

Garlic: Garlic has antiviral, antibacterial, and antiparasitic properties and can be used to boost the immune system and prevent respiratory infections.

Echinacea: Echinacea is a powerful immune booster that can be used to prevent and treat infections, such as colds and respiratory issues.

Oregano: Oregano has antiviral, antibacterial, and antiparasitic properties and can be used to treat a variety of chicken ailments, including respiratory infections and parasites.

Thyme: Thyme is a powerful antimicrobial herb that can be used to prevent and treat respiratory infections and other ailments.

In addition to herbs, other natural remedies that can be useful for chicken health include essential oils, homeopathy, and probiotics.
