U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kansas, and a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, recognized Antique Tractor Preservation Day during the 118th Congress, second session of the U.S. Senate Floor Proceedings; subsequently recorded into the Congressional Record (the official, permanent record of the House and Senate proceedings).

Michael Hinton, founder of Antique Tractor Preservation Day, expressed his appreciation of Marshall’s effort, adding, “This further underscores the importance of our nation’s proud agriculture heritage and the relevance of vintage farm machinery to its era. I am truly honored by Sen. Marshall’s statements and the U.S. Senate’s recognition of Antique Tractor Preservation Day. My vision for Talking-Tractors.com is for it to serve as a portal for educating and generating awareness about the ways the tractor transformed American farming, not just as imperative farm machinery used for agriculture production, but also its ever-present place in one’s family’s history—handed down from one generation to another, engrained with acres of stories.”

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly designated Aug. 22, 2024, as Antique Tractor Preservation Day, and Marshall referenced that designation in his statement.
