South Dakota announces $24 million in aid

The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources announced the Board of Water and Natural Resources has approved $24,416,257 in loans and grants for drinking water, wastewater and solid waste projects in South Dakota.

The $24,416,257 total consists of $24,286,257 in low-interest loans and $130,000 in grants to be administered by the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Funds were awarded from DANR’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program, Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program and Solid Waste Management Program to the following: Box Elder, $2 million; Fort Pierre, $2.47 million; Lincoln County Rural Water System, $1.74 million; Mitchell, $13 million; Pierre, $5.08 million; South Eastern Council of Governments, $100,000; Walworth County, $30,000.
