The Kansas Beef Council and Kansas State University Research and Extension are offering three in-person Beef Quality Assurance training sessions in March. These trainings will provide a valuable opportunity for cattle producers to further refine their husbandry techniques and knowledge to continue raising cattle in ideal conditions.
Training dates and locations are set for March 11, Prairieland Partners, McPherson; March 18, K-State Research Center, Garden City; and March 27, Flint Hills Stockyards, St. Mary’s.
Each free training session will begin at 6 p.m. with a complimentary dinner provided. Topics covered will include cattle care and wellbeing; planning for extreme weather conditions; low-stress cattle-handling techniques; and other critical cattle production practices.
