OPSU team excels at meat judging contest

Freshman Bexlie Good led the Oklahoma Panhandle State University livestock meat judging team as she earned the high overall individual title at the recent Southwestern Meat Judging Contest at the Fort Worth Stock Show.

Competing against some of the best teams in the country, OPSU students showcased their talent and dedication, bringing home top honors once again this year.

Good also had high individual total beef, high individual pork judging, high individual total placings, second in beef grading, third in questions and fourth in beef judging. She also was a recipient of a $1,000 scholarship. Junior Kaley LeGrand of Boise City, Oklahoma, placed 18th high individual overall and 15th in pork judging, while freshman Morgan Clift of Stafford, Texas, earned 14th in beef grading.
