NCBA members to testifying about farm bill and other issues

Tuesday, March 4, two NCBA members and cattle producers will be testifying on Capitol Hill in separate hearings focused on the state of the cattle industry and the reintroduction of experimental predator populations under the Endangered Species Act.
House Agriculture Committee
Tuesday, March 4, NCBA member and Kansas Livestock Association President Troy Sander will testify before the House Agriculture Committee, Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry at a hearing on the “State of the Livestock Industry.” Sander will focus on key policies that Congress can implement to support producers, such as enacting new tax legislation, passing a Farm Bill, and rejecting animal rights activists’ attacks on the Beef Checkoff.
House Natural Resources Committee
Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4, NCBA member Kent Clark and Public Lands Council (PLC) Secretary Robbie LeValley will testify before the House Natural Resources Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations at a hearing on experimental populations under the Endangered Species Act. Clark and LeValley will share their personal experiences with the reintroduction of predator species like wolves and grizzly bears.
