Prospective grape growers workshop set for June 28 in Lubbock

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a workshop for prospective grape growers on June 28 in Lubbock. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Lubbock, 1102 E. Drew St.

Two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units—one integrated pest management and one general—are available for private pesticide applicator license holders.

The program is designed for producers who are considering starting a vineyard or for those who have an established vineyard and are new to the industry. The cost is $40 and includes lunch if registered by June 26. After that date, the cost is $60, with no lunch guaranteed.
