More than 300 4-H members and volunteers from 42 counties visited Montana State University recently for the Montana 4-H Congress, an annual program offering competitive events, workshops, entertainment and social activities.

As the youth development program of MSU Extension, Montana 4-H reaches more than 14,000 youth each year and is supported by more than 3,000 volunteers.

Competitive topics at the event, which ran July 7 to 11, included career communications, demonstrations, fashion review, gavel games, horse judging, hippology, illustrated talks, livestock judging, public speaking, quilting, cooking stir-ups, and videography.
