The Kansas Water Office announced the opening of its two grant programs—the Technical Assistance Fund Grants and Water Projects Fund Grants. The grants were made possible by increased funding to the State Water Plan Fund with Sen. Sub. for HB 2302, a bipartisan bill signed by Gov. Laura Kelly in 2023.
The grant programs provide funding for up-front technical assistance and on-the-ground actions needed to address water quantity and quality issues around the state. The funds are generally directed to supporting water-related infrastructure projects.
