The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending Nov. 23, reported receipts of 45,586 head compared to 46,076 head a week ago and 50,801 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 15,397 head, 1,400 to 1,700 lbs., 210.00 to 224.00 (216.87); 65 to 80% Choice, 1,522 head, 1,300 to 1,650 lbs., 220.00 to 224.00 (222.24); 35 to 65% Choice, 149 head, 1,350 to 1,525 lbs., 224.00. Live delivered, over 80% Choice, 2,138 head, 1,450 to 1,600 lbs., 215.00 to 220.65 (219.81).
