Deltapine adds proven cotton varieties for growers
New cotton varieties named to the Deltapine Class of ’26 provide growers more planting options for proven performance potential in leading trait systems.
“The Class of ’26 includes four additional Deltapine varieties with NPE-grower-proven high-performance potential, featuring the most advanced trait system on the market today: Bollgard 3 ThryvOn cotton with XtendFlex Technology (B3TXF),” said Eric Best, Deltapine cotton product manager. “These new cotton varieties provide growers with more selections for planting that offer top-end performance potential and the agronomic traits needed to manage major pests.”
Announced recently at the annual Deltapine New Product Evaluator Summit, held this year in Hollywood, Florida, the Class of ’26 marks the 18th class of varieties launched through the NPE Program. In addition to four new B3TXF cotton varieties, the class includes an XtendFlex cotton variety for the Southwest. The Deltapine NPE growers who planted and evaluated these products were in attendance to get the news first and hear other important agronomic information for making crop plans in 2026.
The Class of ’26 adds to the strong lineup of Deltapine B3TXF cotton varieties, such as DP 2537 B3TXF, DP 2414 B3TXF and DP 2328 B3TXF.
“With this class, the Deltapine brand is again raising the performance potential with grower-proven varieties,” Best said. “The truest test of a cotton variety is when it is planted in real-farm conditions and managed through harvest by a seasoned grower, and that is exactly the case with the Class of ’26.”

More than 75% of NPE growers who evaluated this product approved its performance, rating it as likely to be purchased and planted.
“The Deltapine NPE growers are helping to move the industry forward,” Best said. “The cooperation, dedication and expert evaluations they provide are resulting in better-performing cotton varieties that come to market, offering enhanced traits for managing the toughest yield-robbing pests facing the industry today. We are excited about the Class of ’26 cotton varieties and the positive impact they can have on farms across the Cotton Belt.”
The Deltapine Class of ’26 varieties were planted and evaluated by NPE growers who, for 18 seasons, have provided feedback and final harvest results that help determine which varieties have the performance potential for commercialization.
More than 150 NPE cotton growers and their spouses from across the Cotton Belt attended the 2025 Deltapine NPE Summit to hear the latest information on variety performance and seed and trait technology, and to celebrate 110 years of Deltapine cotton breeding.
