The 129th Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo will begin in true Western fashion as the iconic All-Western Parade takes over downtown Fort Worth, Texas, at 11 a.m. Jan. 17.

FWSSR invites the public to purchase their ticket to line the streets for the All-Western Parade and experience a legendary Texas tradition. Featuring more than 3,000 horses, the parade showcases nearly 150 entries, including more than 70 riding clubs from across the nation, a dozen marching bands featuring several local high schools, the TCU Horned Frog Marching Band, the Hardin-Simmons University Cowboy Band, and more than 30 wagons and floats. Enjoy face painters and balloon artists near Sundance Square Plaza.

“The All-Western Parade sets the tone for everything the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo represents,” said FWSSR Chairman Philip Williamson. “For 129 years, this event has honored the traditions of the West while bringing families, youth exhibitors and visitors from around the world together in Fort Worth. It is a celebration of our history and an invitation to experience one of the most respected livestock and rodeo events in the country.”

The All-Western Parade is the oldest non-motorized rodeo parade in the United States and remains one of the largest of its kind with nearly 4,000 parade participants and more than 100,000 spectators lining the route through downtown Fort Worth. All-Western Parade tickets are on sale now here. Each parade seat ticket is good for one general admission to the FWSSR grounds on any one day during the 23-day show. Spectators are encouraged to plan ahead and secure their parade seats early with locations at both Sundance Square and the Convention Center.

The two-mile parade route will begin at Main and Weatherford streets south of the Tarrant County Courthouse, continue south to the Fort Worth Convention Center, turn right on 9th Street, then right on Houston Street before heading north. Street closures will begin at 9 a.m.

Following the parade, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo continues through Feb. 7, welcoming more than 13,000 youth from across Texas who will compete for more than $10 million in scholarships and auction receipts. The event attracts more than 1.2 million visitors annually and features world-class livestock shows, equestrian competitions, live music, carnival midway, shopping, family attractions and a nightly rodeo at Dickies Arena.

Always a perfect fit, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo makes everyone feel comfortable where they can enjoy the things that make life in Fort Worth special and fun. Music, carnival-midway, horse shows, livestock, shopping, food for any taste, the petting zoo, pony rides and rodeo in Dickies Arena. The stock show is Jan. 16 to Feb. 7.
