The Aggieville Business District will once again become a national stage for agriculture as the Aggieville Showdown returns April 10 to 11, bringing elite breeding and market cattle, exhibitors from across the country, and thousands of spectators into the heart of Manhattan, Kansas.

Now in its sixth year, the Aggieville Showdown transforms the streets of Aggieville into a one-of-a-kind livestock showcase, where exhibitors compete for cash prizes and the opportunity to present their cattle in the event’s signature Grand Drive, a nationally recognized celebration of agriculture in an urban setting.

“The Aggieville Showdown event is an experience unlike any other by bridging the gap between rural and urban communities in a vibrant business district,” said Christian Calliham, founder and executive director. “This sixth anniversary is a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved. Nowhere else can you find a show that merges these worlds quite like we do, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with all who have made it possible.”

In 2025, the Aggieville Showdown hosted more than 140 cattle exhibitors and drew a crowd of more than 2,500 spectators. Organizers anticipate even greater participation in 2026, fueled by growing national interest.

The event begins April 10, with cattle arriving at the Riley County Fairgrounds. The public is invited to attend the showmanship competition at 6 p.m., showcasing exhibitors ages 8 to 25. On April 11, competition resumes at 9:30 a.m. at the fairgrounds with prospect market beef and breeding heifer shows, culminating in the Aggieville Showdown’s hallmark event, the Grand Drive, at 6:30 p.m. in the streets of Aggieville.

The Grand Drive features the selection of champion cattle alongside live entertainment, including a fashion show presented by Cavender’s, musical performances by Gage Gardiner, and a curated lineup of vendors, creating a fun experience for exhibitors and spectators alike.
