To help offset the rising cost of higher education and invest in the future of Kansas agriculture, Kansas Grain and Feed Association, Topeka, awarded nearly $30,000 in scholarships to 19 graduating high school seniors across the state for the 2026-27 academic year.
The scholarship committee, comprised of KGFA members, reviewed more than 250 applications and selected recipients based on academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and geographic representation throughout Kansas.
“Every year, we are inspired by the remarkable talent, work ethic and leadership demonstrated by Kansas students,” KGFA President and CEO Ron Seeber said. “These scholarships are an investment in the future of our state, our communities and the agricultural industry. We are excited to support these students as they pursue their educational goals and develop the skills our member organizations are seeking to continue their success.”
KGFA annually awards 18 scholarships valued at $1,500 each and administers the Dub and Inez Johnson Memorial Scholarship, valued at $500.
Eligible applicants must be graduating Kansas high school seniors who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential, community involvement and a commitment to continuing their education. Students must plan to attend a Kansas four-year university, community college or technical school.
Since establishing its scholarship program in 1976, KGFA has helped hundreds of Kansas students pursue higher education and prepare for successful careers.
