The number of people that I run into, whether I know them or not, at some point the conversation turns into “something doesn’t feel right.”

That is the thought process of the majority of people in my circle. I am writing this on the heels of the 25th anniversary of 9-11. For those of us who clearly remember the day, we remember the impact, the need to call your mother and nationwide unity. Today, part of “something doesn’t feel right,” is that I believe we were lied to about who committed this life-altering terrorist attack.

We do not need a massive upgrade to a 760-kilovolt transmission line with a new set of land easements different from the existing line, in my opinion. We do not need hyper-scale artificial intelligence data centers. We do not need wind and solar projects to prevent climate change.

I believe the global movement to eliminate beef cattle is at play. It is being carried out right here on United States soil. The movement knew they couldn’t tell us to cut back a third of our herd as they did with our European cousins, so they are taking a different path. I believe they are building an infrastructure to create something in those walls other than computer data.

At first, I wondered “what is the energy requirement to produce cell-cultured protein?” as I assumed it was huge. Here is a run-down of what I found. This information comes from the publication called The Cultivarian Society:

Cultivated Meat Energy Use: Current estimates range from 25 to 250 MJ/kg, with stirred-tank bioreactors using 150–200 MJ/kg at pilot scale. Commercial-scale operations are projected to reduce this to 50–80 MJ/kg through improved heat transfer and mixing. The primary energy consumers are temperature control (maintaining 37°C), aeration/mixing, and growth media preparation.

Then they report:

The pace of scaling up this technology will largely hinge on advancements in energy-efficient bioreactor designs, alongside investments in infrastructure, workforce training, and regulatory frameworks that encourage renewable energy use within food production. However, these improvements won’t happen in isolation – they require collective efforts across the industry.

For those that may not know, we currently have just over 5,000 “operating” data centers in the U.S. and they are running at 17% of full capacity. It does not make sense that these buildings are continuing to be built with a serious encroachment on rural America’s farming and grazing land. This requires some level of explanation of what we are dealing with in this permitting and building cycle.

In my research on this particular topic, I’ve generated way more than I will be able to squeeze into one piece so I will consider this Chapter 1 of what they have planned for the future of mankind. It is becoming clear that artificial intelligence will be directly involved in this food production model. In addition, money has been pumped into alternative protein options. For example, this $20 million grant to Northwestern University:

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Northwestern University $20 million over four years to establish the nation’s first publicly accessible, AI-powered cloud laboratory for protein engineering.

I realize most people think the alternative protein craze has passed. It has not, in my opinion. Big money is funneling into this arena at an unprecedented rate. Good Food Institute says the investment in alternative proteins is now at $20 billion.
