The New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association has been selected to receive a $30,000 Rural Roots Grant from American AgCredit, an investment that will help cattle growers continue its mission of advancing and protecting New Mexico’s cattle industry while strengthening the rural communities that depend on it.
The award recognizes organizations that are making a lasting difference in agriculture and rural America. The grant provides additional resources to continue serving as a united voice for New Mexico’s cattle producers while investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Since 1914, NMCGA has represented the interests of New Mexico’s cattle producers by working to protect private property rights, preserve grazing opportunities, promote animal health, advocate for sound public policy, and support an economic climate to allow family ranches to remain productive and sustainable.
