Compared to a week ago, steer calves were selling $3 to $5 higher. Heifer calves were selling $4 to $7 higher. Quality was average through attractive, with large groups of attractive calves. Demand was very good for all classes. The supply included 33% over 600 pounds with 48% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $5 to $9 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $4 lower. A total of 380 cows and bulls sold with 58% going to packers.
