San Angelo livestock auction report

The Producers Livestock Auction Co., Report, San Angelo, Texas, reported receipts of 879 head selling on April 5, compared to 556 head a week ago and 840 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to a week ago, steer and heifer calves and yearlings were selling steady. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were trading weak to $2 lower. Stock cows and pairs steady. Trading and demand was moderate. Quality was mostly average to plain. The supply included 11% slaughter cows, 1% slaughter bulls, 85% feeders, 3% stock cows and pairs. The feeders included 50% steers and bulls, 35% weighed over 600 pounds.
