Ada livestock auction report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 963 head selling on May 16, compared to 1,690 head a week ago and 1,702 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steer calves were lightly tested with a much lower undertone noted. Heifer calves were selling mostly $4 to $6 lower. Demand was moderate. Quality was mostly plain wih a few average. Heifers made up 55% and cattle over 600 pounds made up 25% of supply.
