Grain market close
The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for Nov. 19, reported in futures trading that Chicago December soft red winter wheat was $4.89 1/2, down 8 1/4 cents; December corn, $3.62 1/4, down 2 1/2 cents; and January soybeans, $8.73 3/4, down 18 1/2 cents.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $5.34 1/4 to $5.54 1/4, down 8 1/2 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $5.63 1/2 to $5.68 1/2, down 8 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $3.98 1/4 to $4.05 1/4, down 2 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $7.09 1/2, down 4 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $8.93 3/4 to $8.95 3/4, down 18 1/2 cents.
Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $4.29.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $4.44 to $4.69.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was mostly 9 cents lower, at $4.14 to $4.54.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $4.16 to $4.39.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $4.14 to $4.29.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $4.04 to $4.34.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $4 to $4.39.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 3 cents lower and $3.77 to $3.81 per bushel.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $3.27 to $3.47.
In east central Colorado, corn was $3.27 to $3.37.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $3.07 to $3.67.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $3.22 to $3.37 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 5 cents lower at $5.04 to $5.61 per cwt.
No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 18 to 32 cents lower at $7.23 to $7.28 per bushel.
White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $9.50 to $9.75 per cwt., mostly $9.50 to $9.75.
Sunflowers were $18 cwt.
In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $3.77 per bushel. Barley was unavailable.
In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $22 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady $21 to $22. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $26. Great Northerns were steady at $21 to $22 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $21 to $22. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were steady $35; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were steady $34 to $35.
