Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 1,980 head selling on Sept. 29, compared to 1,605 head Sept. 15 and 2,350 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to the Sept. 15 sale, heifers over 850 pounds were selling steady to $5 higher. Demand was good from the buyers in the seats with internet activity noticed. The calf and feeder supply included 60% heifers with near 63% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
